How to get a Spain Work Visa?

If you want to work in Spain and you are a Non-EU/EEA/Swiss national, you need to obtain a Spain Work Visa. It will allow you to enter the state for work purposes. Before applying for a Spain Work Visa, you must have a job in Spain.

To work in Spain as a highly-skilled worker, you need to find a job listed as a ‘Shortage Occupation’. In that case, there is a shortage of appropriate candidates within the EU.

After getting a job in Spain, you need to apply for a work permit to work in Spain legally, and it is also one of the requirements for a Spain Work Visa. Your employer in Spain needs to apply for a work permit on your behalf at the provincial office of the Ministry of Labour. It can take around eight months for the processing of a work permit application. A work permit is valid for up to one year, and it can be renewed.

After you arrive in Spain, you need to apply for a residence permit if you want to live in the state for a longer period.

But if you are an EU/EEA/Swiss national, you do not need a visa or work permit to visit, live, work or study in Spain. After you arrive in Spain, you only need to register with the authorities and obtain a national identity number, if you want to live in the state for more than 90-days.
