      1. For EU/EEA/Switzerland/Nordic nationals

If you are a citizen of any EU/EEA/Switzerland/Nordic country, you are allowed to live and work in Denmark without the need to obtain a work visa or permit. If the length of your stay in Denmark is more than three months, you need to apply for an EU residence document at the Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration (SIRI). You can also obtain an EU residence document at the International Citizen Service.

      2. For Non-EU/EEA/Switzerland/Nordic nationals

If you are a citizen of any Non-EU/EEA/Switzerland/Nordic country, you need to apply for a Denmark Work Visa to enter the state for employment purposes. It will allow you to live in the country for up to 90-days. If you want to stay in the country for more than 90-days, you also need to apply for the residence and work permit at the Danish diplomatic mission before your arrival to Denmark.

If you are already legally living in Denmark, you can then submit your application for a residence and work permit at a Danish police station or in the Citizen Centre of the Denmark Agency. It usually takes around 1 to 3 months for the processing of the residence and work permit.
