If you want to study in Zambia, the first thing you will need to have a Zambia Visit Visa.

Who does not need a Zambia Visit Visa?

If you want to enter Zambia, you need to fall within one of the three following categories:

1. Citizens who do not need a visa to enter Zambia

2. Nationals need to get a visa on arrival or Missions Abroad

3. Nationals who need to apply for a visa before traveling to Zambia

Note that if you are from the third category, you need to apply for a visit visa if you want to visit Zambia.

How to get a Zambia Visit Visa?

If you are not from any visa-exempt country, you need to have a Zambia Visit Visa/Zambia Tourist Visa/Zambia Business Visa. It will allow you to stay in the state for up to 90-days within 12 months for tourism purposes, and for business purposes, it will be valid for 30 days within 12 months. The Zambian government also provides a facility to apply for a visa online. 

What will be the requirements for a Zambia Visit Visa?

You need to have the following documents to get a Zambia Visit Visa.

1. Valid passport

2. Passport-size picture 

3. Copy of a return flight ticket

4. For Zambia Tourist Visa:

i. Proof of accommodation in Zambia, i.e., Hotel booking 

ii. A signed cover letter directed to the Director-General of Immigration

5. For Zambia Business Visa:

i. An invitation letter from the company in Zambia

ii. A confirmation letter from your company 

iii. Company’s certificate of incorporation

6. Completed Zambia Visit Visa Application Form

7. Police record document

8. Proof that shows enough financial funds

Note that when you are applying online, you will receive the full list of required documents according to your nationality and the purpose of your visit.

What will be the processing time for a Zambia Visit Visa?

The processing time for a visit visa depends on your nationality and the method of applying. Usually, it will take about 5-6 days for visa processing.  But when you are applying online, it will take about three days to visa processing.

What will be the cost of a Zambia Visit Visa?

The fees for a Zambia visa depends on the duration of the visa, but generally, it will cost:

• $50.00 for Single Entry Visa
• $80.00 for Double Entry Visa
• $150.00 for Multiple Entry Visa 

What is KAZA Univisa?

The KAZA Univisa is a type of joint tourist visa for Zambia and Zimbabwe and allows you to visit both countries multiple times. The visa is valid for up to 30 days in any period of 12 months. 

The KAZA Univisa will cost about USD 50. Only if you are a national of any following country, you can get a KAZA Univisa on arrival.
