      You don't need a visa for Peru if you are a US citizen as Peru calls itself an “open country” and does not require US travelers to present a visa. However, other countries nationals need a Travel Visa to visit Peru and they need to have a valid passport with at least 2 blank pages and 6 months remaining before it expires.

      Which type of Visa do you need to Visit Peru 

      You need a normal Peru Tourist Visa which will last between 30 and 183 days. This 183 days is valid for 1 calendar year and cannot be extended after this time. If you overstay your visa you will be required to pay a fine of $1.50 per day, for every day you overstay.
