Table of Contents
Majority of tourists who visit the Fiji islands are from the United States, New Zealand, and Australia. There are many resorts and mid-range hotels that provide great accommodation for the tourist. Many resorts are located in remote places that are away from the hustle of the city, making it favorable for tourism since people love to spend their vacations in calm places, close to nature.
Suva, on the largest island of Viti Levu, is the capital, and the tourist town of Nadi, on the western side of the island, is Fiji's main international gateway, near the large resorts of the Coral Coast and Denarau Island. Not far from here, you can stroll along sand dunes to ancient archeological sites, soak in therapeutic mud pools and hot springs, dive with sharks in Beqa Lagoon, and raft the Upper Navua River through pristine rainforests. Farther afield, the outer islands have their own alluring natural attractions.
