      If you are a national of any state listed above, you can also request to extend your stay for up to 90 days more. It means you can stay for up to 180 days without a visa.

      Also, if you are from any following countries listed below and have a short-stay visa or residence permit issued by the Schengen country or the USA, you are allowed to enter Colombia without a Colombian visa for up to 90 days. Keep in mind the residence permit or a visa must be valid for at least another 180 days.

      How to get a Colombia Visit Visa?

      To visit Colombia, everyone needs to apply for a  Colombia Visit Visa (V) exempt from the nationals of the visa exemption states. It will allow you to stay in Colombia for a short period, usually for tourism and leisure activities, short-term study programs, medical treatment, or attending a business meeting or any sports event. It allows you up to 90 days of stay in the state. After you arrive in Colombia, you need to register your visit to the local immigration authorities in Colombia within 15 days.

      You must have the following documents to apply for a visit visa to Colombia.

      1. Valid passport

      2. Passport size picture (3 cm x 4 cm)

      3. A bank statement that shows enough financial funds

      4. Travel itinerary 

      5. A letter stating the purpose of visit

      6. Proof of accommodation in Colombia

      7. Evidence of family relationship (If you are visiting a family member)

      8. The letter of invitation from a hosting company (To attend a business meeting)

      9. A report stating your medical condition(If the purpose of the visit is a medical treatment)
