      Norway is the country that takes higher education to a unique international level. Most of the Norwegian public universities don’t charge any tuition fees. This applies to all international students, regardless of their country of origin.

      Living costs in Norway 

      On average, you can expect to pay anywhere between 800 – 1,400 EUR/month to live in Norway. Expenses can be much higher in large cities. Here are some of the costs of living you can expect to pay in cities like:

       Oslo  1,200 – 2,000 EUR
       Bergen  1,100 – 1,800 EUR
       Tromso and Trondheim  1,000 - 1,600 EUR
       Other smaller cities in Norway  800 – 1,000 EUR. 


      Norway student visa process

      Go to the visavendor.com. Here you will have to:

      • Fill in the Assessment form
      • Receive our email
      • You will have to pay the refundable visa service fee that Visa Vendor charges
      • After your payment, you will be given credentials of your portal
      • You will attach all your important documents that are mentioned in the checklist above
      • Your application will be finalized 
      • Once your application is completed, it will be sent to the embassy to get processed

      Norway student visa processing time

      The processing may take up to two to three months and there is an application fee. You are required to register in person at the local immigration office at the Stavanger Police Station, Lagårdsveien 6, Stavanger, within 7 days after your arrival in Norway.

      Norway Student Visa Requirements

      • A European Health Insurance Card (if you’re from the EU/EEA)
      • Passport and copies of all used pages from the passport
      • Signed cover letter from the visa application portal
      • Two recent passport-sized photos (on a white background, so not that club picture that makes you look better than in reality)
      • Proof that you have paid the application fee
      • The confirmation of admission to a full-time programme in an approved Norwegian educational institution, which mentions your name, the degree course and level, as well as the length of the programme
      • Proof that you have enough funds to financially support your student life, which represents a minimum of 10,510 EUR/ year
      • Rental contract or proof that you have where to stay in Norway. Also, you should start looking for accommodation, since the demand for housing options is high, especially in student villages or small towns
