      How to get an Ireland Student Visa?

      As you may already know, Ireland is a part of the Schengen Agreement. So, if you are from an EU/EEA country and want to study in Ireland, you do not need to obtain an Ireland Student Visa. If your stay is more than 90-days, you only need to register yourself to the nearest local authorities in Ireland just after your arrival.

      But if you are a Non-EU/EEA citizen, all you need to have an Ireland Student Visa or a Long-Term Visa (Type D visa) to study in Ireland. It will allow you to stay in the state for more than 90 days. Before applying for an Ireland Student Visa, you must have an acceptance letter; it is an essential requirement for your student visa application. You can also apply for a C Type Visa if your course of study is less than three months.

      Keep in mind if you are enrolled for a study program that lasts longer than 90-days, you will need to register yourself at the nearest GNIB (Garda National Immigration Bureau) after your arrival in Ireland to get a residence permit. It will allow you to stay in the country for up to 12 months and you will also receive a Certificate of Registration or Green Book, which must be renewed before its expiry. You will need to submit the following documents at GNIB:

      • Valid passport
      • Passport-size photos (Four)
      • Confirmation of enrolment
